It was Kaylee's birthday and she wanted to go fishing. The original plan was to get her a birthday bass, but we had a hard time getting one. We missed a 4 lb smallmouth that spit the hook out when it jumped, but we did get a nice white bass. We caught several blue and channel catfish drifting with live shiners on light tackle. Once the sun came out, we anchored on a bridge piling and caught three nice blue catfish. Kaylee had a blast playing with the shiners and holding the catfish.
